Gründerszene Today: DuMont Venture invests in Contilla, AngelPad mentoring programme, samedi wins investors, one for the diary: Startup Lounge
Today’s top stories: Content platform Contilla welcomes DuMont Venture and Ebner Ulm as investors; former Google employees have set up a mentoring programme called AngelPad; Christoph Janz and Lars Hinrichs invest in samedi; and Startup Lounge gears up for a weekend in the Tyrolean hills.
DuMont Venture invests in Contilla
The multi-media content marketplace Contilla has secured investment from DuMont Venture and the publishing group Ebner Ulm, owner of Internet World Business and Page. The Cologne-based startup provides a platform for secondary distribution of premium licensed content, taking a commission from content providers.
AngelPad mentoring programme with Google know-how
Seven former senior Google employees have joined forces and set up the incubator AngelPad. The ten-week mentoring programme is similar to a model used by Y Combinator, according to AngelPad founder Thomas Korte, but the focus is on more experienced founders. So it is not surprising that half of the first ten candidates are former Google employees.
samedi wins investors
The healthcare portal samedi welcomed aboard two very experienced business angels in a recent funding round: Xing founder Lars Hinrichs (four percent) and Christoph Janz (two percent). Samedi brings SaaS to the medical profession, enabling appointment booking, resource planning and collaboration with other clinics to happen in the cloud. One for the diary: Startup Lounge
Investors and entrepreneurs will gather almost 1,000 meters above sea level for this year’s Startup Lounge. Held in the Tyrolean village of Alpbach from 27 to 28 August, the conference will be asking „What’s missing in Europe?“ and intends to „unleash the entrepreneurial spirit“ of attendants. Participants can expect a training session that includes pitching for investment, and the shard wisdom of a panel of five industry leaders that includes Seedcamp CEO Reshma Sohoni.
