The Head of Business Development is responsible for developing key growth strategies, for overall sales performance, the profitable achievements of revenue objectives and for aligning sales objectives with hy’s business strategy. We expect the Head of Business Development to:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and identify new business opportunities
- Establish a state of the art sales team / partner team / advisor team to increase outreach capabilities of hy
- Drive the closing process of hy’s strategic clients alongside with hy’s operating units and its senior management team
- Consistently innovate creative approaches to drive hy’s revenue growth design and develop marketing materials to generate sales leads
We are looking for a candidate who has a proven business development executive experience. You are tech-savvy, structured and passionate about hy’s mission and are able to effectively communicate it to others on a highly professional level. You are result-driven and eager to setup a new global business division within the growing company of hy.
- You have at least 5-10 years of proven work experience in consulting, professional services, agencies, digital environments or sales organizations
- You bring 3+ years of leadership and management experience in business development or sales with a focus on B2B and a proven track record of continuously overachieving targets
- You have the ability to independently build a large pipeline of outbound leads and pursuing and closing them
- Your negotiation skills are outstanding
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German, including strong presentation and Powerpoint skills
- You have a strong ability to establish trusting relationships
- Your organizational, time management, interpersonal and network-building skills are excellent
- You have a strong dynamic modeling skill set to analyse real-time business opportunities / issues
- A passion for emerging technologies, digital business models and startups is a must
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset
