Space businesses such as SpaceX, Skybox and BlueOrigin are building a new private industry. One of the catalysts of this development was the first award of the xPrice foundation, relating to spacecraft development and awarded in 2004. The next impulse for a new industry in the year 2015 comes from the recent XPrize to accelerate technology breakthroughs for rapid and unmanned ocean exploration.

Then you are the right person for the new corporate spin-off from the Fraunhofer Institute IOSB. We developed the autonomous diving robot DEDAVE, which will be marketed from 2016 as an autonomous underwater vehicle for challenging exploration tasks. Marketing, Sales, production and new product development will be carried out by a new spin-off company that will consistently promote industrial efficiency, modular design, a process managed organisation and a platform strategy. We intend to develop this new business to the world market leader of the new maritime and deep-sea start-up sector in only a few years’ time. Our diving robots are set to capture a large market share of the global market for autonomous diving vessels, which currently turns over almost 500 million dollars a year with a strong annual increase. This will be made possible through top technological performances, a high customer orientation and professional management.
