We are a small, but fast and effective team,currently taking part in the semi-finals of the global 7Mio.US$ Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE. Once we have successfully concluded the competition, we want to be game changers in revolutionising deep-sea exploration. Our goal is for our world to know their own planet just as well as we know the moon, Mars and Venus and in doing so we want to help found a brand-new industry, a bridge to abundance for all.
Based on agile methods like SCRUM and eXtreme Programming, we developed our own, fast, test-driven approach, which is continuously under further development, to always become faster and better.
We run early and intensive tests. On our missions to test seaworthiness and deep-sea mapping, we travel as a team to the shores of many countries in Europe and the rest of the world.
We form intensive collaborations with marine research, end-users, small and large firms and other robotics research institutes.
The ideal candidate has a master’s degree in Physics, IT, Control Engineering or Marine Technologies and established knowledge in fields such as autonomous vehicles, control engineering, Robot Operating Systems (ROS), machine learning or cartography and has experience working in an efficient team developing robotic systems in dynamic,real environments.
As a team player, you are quick to integrate in a new environment, you thrive on the freedom to take your own initiative and you get on well with people from different parts of the world. You can communicate in your mother tongue and at least one other language and you collaborate well with people from other countries.
