Through innovative livestream auction formats, charity auctions, private sales, and a curated online shop, the recently merged platforms offer a seamless online process to sell and purchase art, design, classic cars, watches, jewelry, and wine. With around 800,000 registered users, Auctionata | Paddle8 is one of the ten biggest auction houses worldwide outside of China. The company has offices in Berlin, New York, London, Los Angeles, Rome, Zurich, and Madrid and is thus represented in the most important international markets.

To support our international team in Berlin, we are currently looking for two:

Global Customer Service Assistants (m/f) – English/ German

 Responsibilities

  • Support for German, American and international customers via telephone and email
  • Depending on specialization, you are either responsible for consulting our consignors or our buyers
  • Consignors:                                                   
    • Consulting and supporting clients in all questions following the signing of the consignment agreements
    • Advice consignors regarding sales and pricing
    • Provide information concerning commission settlements, payouts and estimates
    • Handling complaints in a professional and calm manner
    • Archiving contracts & transfer contract data into our internal system
  •  Buyers:
    • Providing after-sales services for buyers - consulting them regarding accounting, claims, logistics and other queries
    • Handling buyers’ complaints in a professional and calm manner
    • Supporting potential buyers in our bidding process for online auctions & with questions regarding objects in our online shop
    • Dealing with general inquiries of potential consignors
  • Working hours: 3:00pm – 12:00am
  • Desired start date: March 1st, 2017
     

Skills

  • University degree or completed vocational training
  • Work experience in customer related positions
  • A genuine interest in art as well in helping customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • English on a native speaker level
  • Fluent in German (at least B2 proficiency)
  • A polite, thoughtful and friendly attitude
  • Patience and calmness under pressure
  • The ability to handle complaints and difficult situations
  • Competent handling of MS-office applications
