As a German Language Joss & Main Copywriter, your core role will be to assist the copywriting team with product copy for our daily flash sale events, ensuring each piece of copy is consistent with the differing event goals yet consistent with our clearly defined Joss voice.

We are seeking a Junior-Copywriter to lead and expand major categories in our fast growing, home-focused e-commerce business.

Junior Copywriter/ Texter - Native Level German Language (m/f)
Candidates must be highly creative, possess exemplary writing skills, and have a keen eye for detail. Candidates should also take direction well and be able to handle an entrepreneurial environment, while being resourceful and self-directed. Candidates for this position should have a deep love of writing, and be knowledgeable of online flash sales sites. Interest in home décor, interior decorating and product design is preferred but not required.
Ideal candidates have spent some time writing every day in an internship or job. This environment is very high-volume and fast moving. Demonstrated experience meeting deadlines within a business environment is strongly preferred.
Fluency in English and German is and absolute must!
Strong writing and editing skills
- 0-2 years of professional experiences, ie gained through an internship
- A degree (Bachelor, B.A., Master, M.A.), preferred in ie communications (Kommunikation), Germanistik, etc.
- Ability to express brand identity through product copy
- Ability to elicit consumer desire for our vast selection of products
- Strong grasp of German and Engliash grammar and tone
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to create clean, concise and engaging content on deadline
- Ability to edit existing content to best suit our brand identity
- Proficient communication skills
- Be comfortable working independently and within a team
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial start-up environment
- Be creative and willing to offer ideas and suggestions
- Ability to research brands and products as necessary
- Be comfortable with deadlines and tight turnarounds
- Good sense of humor and work ethic
Solid computer skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
Knowledge of online flash sale sites
- Basic understanding of top private sales and flash sales sites
- Ability to gauge consumer interest and brand identities
English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Marketing or Advertising majors (preferred)
Experience with and/or knowledge of online retail (preferred)
