The Management Development Program

Our Management Development Program trains top talents in all dimensions of Delivery Hero’s business. You will gain inside perspectives on Delivery Hero’s business, drive day-to-day management and build deep functional expertise by rotating every 3 months to new modules and challenges.

The program is 1.5 years in total with minimum 3-6 months abroad. Alumni will then join Delivery Hero’s management or build new verticals or countries from scratch to market leadership, and implement functions such as online marketing, product development, supply management and operations.



Your mission

You are responsible to excel in 6 modules that can be conducted abroad if reasonable. During the program, you will be assigned to a C-level mentor and managers for each program stage where you lead diverse projects to lift DHs business. Your role includes the following modules and approximate durations:

 

Assisting a CxO  ~3months

  • You will be assigned to a C-level mentor during the entire program and drive focus projects to leverage and bond with your mentor
  • You will define, structure, develop processes and tools, and deliver measurable results

 

Marketing ~3 months

  • You will work on key projects in marketing, such as CRM, mobile, loyalty, and others to deliver high quality traffic, optimize conversion rates, and improve retention
  • You will support implementing the international marketing strategy and its roadmap across markets
  • You will keep a close eye on the market, competition and use your research to continuously improve marketing activities

 

Product ~3 months

  • You work on product development while consistently sounding out the market to help refine the product while monitoring and optimizing key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • You will have ideas for further developing the business model, have a clear idea about the product, and how it will transform the market
  • You will successfully drive projects or features through the lifecycle from conception to launch

 

Sales ~3 months

  • You will identify and convert leads to active clients, including larger clients and strategic partnerships
  • You will identify opportunities to further improve the sales processes, streamline operations and share best practices across markets

 

International module ~3 months

  • Based on business needs and your passion, you will drive an entire project abroad from conception to implementation and evaluation in one of above mentioned business areas

 

Prep project for your new role ~3 months

  • In this module, you will identify and implement a complex project that prepares you for your new role in management or as Venture Partner of a country or vertical

 

Your skills

 

Education 

  • Outstanding degree at a top university (likely: MBA, Wi-Ing or similar)
  • Desirable: Prolonged stay abroad (> 6 months)

 

Experience

  • Preferably gained 2 years professional experience in high-performance environments (strategy consulting, banking, start-up, or similar)
  • Proven track record of professional achievements
  • Project management: has planned, implemented and controlled major projects, in particular extensive analytical work
  • Preferably: supported internationalization, set up new business verticals

 

Know how

Must

  • MS office, particularly strong in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of internet business models
  • Fluent in two languages, English and at least one additional language, preferably German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese

 

Desired

  • Extensive skills in project management
  • Experience in business operations and leading teams
  • Background / experience in scaling internet companies
  • Keen on travelling

 

Personality

  • Street smart with business sense: Addresses problems in a pragmatic, creative and, if necessary and sensible, unconventional ways and with a strong business orientation; acting with a clear understanding of what the action contributes to the business
  • Entrepreneurial driver” with independent, flexible, and fast work style: comes up with solutions autonomously; mentality that leads to finish things completely and pushes stakeholders (without ‘burning’ them); wants to move things and always finds ways to pass dead ends or road blockers. High self-motivation and passionate about online startups with deep interest in developing international businesses.
  • Very precise, rigorous, diligent – but at the same time somebody who understands and wants to influence the big picture (willing and capable of doing „nitty-gritty” work as well as capable of major conceptual design)
  • Very analytical and structured: Strong analytical, logical and metrics-oriented mindset; ability to convert analytical findings into specific, clear recommendations, actions (ability to interpret data),
  • Systematic, well organized; can handle projects and survive multi-tasking; good time-management; used to work by priorities
  • Concise and precise communication (“to the point”); can explain, convince, and translate the service-related needs of different departments to others
