Mister Spex is the leading online optician in Europe. We disrupt the international eyewear market with one of the largest selections of branded eyewear and combine better prices with all the offline services you need. Our online and offline services with our network of more than 500 partner opticians as well as our own Mister Spex stores make us unique.

As we constantly strive for new innovations to drive our growth, we are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer in our Headquarter in Berlin.

Your responsibilities

  • Member of the Mgmt. and Leadership team and sparring partner for Managing Directors with full budget and sales as well as joint P&L responsibility

  • Shape and drive our Mister Spex businesses to a leading position in our 10+ target markets

  • Define the marketing and brand strategy & positioning, business plans, budgets and structures for the marketing department

  • Design, manage, control and optimize all our marketing activities and budgets across 10+ countries and all marketing channels from acquisition/performance/TV to retention/CRM, brand/graphics/creatives to landing page and conversion rate optimization

  • Define and ensure customer-centric BI and channel set-up to further automate Marketing and tailor messages

  • Manage link between Country Heads/local country needs and Marketing Managers/channel experts

  • Optimize and integrate channel operations and lead, coach and assist a growing team of 30+ marketing experts in daily business

  • Develop and scale innovative marketing campaigns and channels

Your profile

  • You received an outstanding degree in a marketing or tech related subject (e.g. IT, Data Science, Engineering, economics, marketing, business)

  • You gained at least 5 years of professional experience in Consulting or a market- and customer-oriented industry & function, ideally in E-Commerce

  • You generated outstanding results with respect to both qualitative (e.g., branding, design, campaign creatives) and quantitative (e.g., performance, attribution, CLV) marketing challenges

  • You have the ability to manage multiple, complex tasks simultaneously, structure and prioritize adequately for you and your teams to maximize business impact in a fast-paced environment

  • You have an affinity for data driven and goal-oriented decision making

  • You have excellent leadership skills which help you attract and develop outstanding marketing talent and make you a great team player and fun to work with

  • Sound mix of strong conceptual, data driven, analytical capabilities but also hands-on and agile mentality

  • Personal drive to design new marketing approaches, processes and structures and push sales

  • Ability to define Marketing tech requirements based on solid quantitative, tech knowledge or passion

  • Strong customer focus and will to profoundly understand underlying customer needs

  • Hungry team player with an open, integrative leadership style to learn and to develop the organization
