Do you think this could be you? To pursue our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking for an Data Scientist Customer Insights (m/f) for our newly formed Customer Insights Team that is responsible for championing the voice of our customer. In this position, you will create a competitive advantage for Westwing through superior consumer understanding.


Your responsibilities will be

  • Delivering compelling insights in customer behavior across platforms
  • Implementing and executing various innovative research projects simultaneously within the customer segmentation and customer insights space
  • Developing actionable conclusions and recommendations
  • Helping others to structure their complex challenges and tasks
  • Collaborating across all related Westwing Group departments to ensure implementation of strategic recommendations
  • Shaping a multi-million dollar company that takes data driven decisions based on your insights


You come with

  • Strong problem-solving mentality and excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to structure and synthesize complex tasks and challenges
  • Outstanding academic credentials from a leading university with significant coursework in a quantitative field (i.e. Quantitative Finance, Quantitative Marketing, Econometrics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Proficiency of SQL and Excel for business analysis; experience with BI tools like Tableau is a plus
  • First work experience in consulting, consumer goods and eCommerce is a plus
  • Ideally experience in working on segmentation using statistical software like R, SAS, or SPSS
  • A proactive working-style with a high level of independency
