  • You are responsible for seeking and executing: joint business ventures, mergers, acquisitions, global partnerships, and thought-leadership opportunities

  • Seeking out potential partners in new geographies where FCG does not have a presence, fully negotiating a deal, presenting the deal (both financially and qualitatively) to the FCG executive team, and executing the transaction

  • Merging or acquiring existing assets in these places and modeling out the buy vs. build analysis for every opportunity. Executing the transaction by coordinating with all necessary teams and legal counsels

  • Finding global business development and partnership opportunities that can be done at a global or local level, introducing them to the right people, and preparing all relevant materials

  • Finding conferences, events where FCG can present/speak to become thought leaders in emerging markets and automotive

  • Financially, trying to uncover working capital/debt opportunities and other financial partners (equity investors, etc)
  • Working with financial institutions and modeling interest rate effects on P&L

  • Creating presentations on various deals and how they would work

  • Attending and networking at conferences globally to uncover BD opportunities
  • Creation of board decks, financial models, slide decks to appropriate present and analyze opportunities, both internally and externally
  • Work autonomously on the execution of the above upon demonstrated competency in deal negotiation and thorough understanding of the business model

You report to Sujay Tyle, primarily, and Peter Lindholm, secondarily - however should be able to take direction across the board. The position is Berlin-HQed with frequent travel to the markets.

Your profile

  • You have an academic degree in economics / business administration and / or technical studies

  • You have several years of profound professional experience with the development of business in emerging markets, ideally even in the car industry

  • Experience in the formation, negotiation, and execution of deals

  • You have experience with the management of teams, organizational skills and interest in team-work

  • You are business fluent in English, you speak German and ideally further languages

  • Based on your experience in medium-sized companies you think like an entrepreneur
