We are looking for a high performing Head of Business Development International (m/f). This position will ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy.  

In this position you are in a key role to improve our market position internationally. Operating from our Headquarter in Berlin, you will closely work with the internal teams (Product & Development, Marketing, Search & Analytics) and report directly to the CEO.


Your Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of DaWanda’s vision and strategy
  • Defining long-term organizational strategic goals & strategic planning
  • Business development planning
  • identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals
  • build key customer relationships
  • Build long lasting and successful partnerships for DaWanda at the international level
  • Functional design and development of all relevant structures
  • Optimization of current structures for all countries (Poland, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, France, International Platform)
  • New Business Development
  • Identification of customer needs and challenges
  • Management and Research
  • Take a key function in Organizational Development
  • Develop and lead the Business Development team in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities


You should have

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics or other relevant field
  • 5 years of experience and proven track record in both business development and sales, preferable in a startup or established web business with e-commerce / market place experience
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of market and industry trends (digital, e-commerce)
  • Goal orientation and self-motivated with a strong “can do”-attitude
  • Strong analytical and executional skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Organizational skills and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Good project and time management skills
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and to work under pressure
