In close collaboration with our client we are building a state-of-the-art competence center for E-Commerce and Digitalisation. As the industry leading firm in car repairs, trading of automotive equipment and spare parts our partner is pursuing an omni-channel strategy. More than 10.000 employees in 600 different locations are working on client satisfaction and further development of their offered services and products currently including more than 100.000 different articles. To drive further digitalisation and to profit from the vibrant, international E-Commerce scene of Berlin, we are establishing a spearheading unit of digital experts to work on the most challenging and innovative projects the firm is facing. To join at the earliest time, we are looking for an exceptional hands-on, creative, innovation driven and "user first" minded Lead UX Designer (m/f).


  • You ensure an exceptional user experience on all digital channels - your ultimate goal is to set the industry standard
  • You create and improve digital services and processes and deliver engaging and inventive solutions for complex challenges across digital and mobile channels
  • The day-to-day work will demand an expert knowledge of E-Commerce platforms and related processes as well as user-communities
  • Taking over the responsibility for everything that is UX related means starting with gathering and defining business and user requirements up until development, all the while ensuring that quality of the product and that the user-first approach is followed throughout the process
  • Main areas of work will defining information architecture, process flows, wireframing and presenting and discussing your work with relevant stakeholders from marketing, operations and IT
  • You should be familiar with the e-commerce key metrics, such as conversation rates, average revenue and cart abortions
  • Regularly assisting in updating the company's design guidelines in collaboration with the external lead agency
  • Managing team of (external) UX and UI specialists is as much required as a very hands-on approach


  • University degree (Digital Media, Interactive Systems Design or related studies)
  • Several years of experience in designing holistic, innovative and brand-orientated user interfaces and user experiences in technical and complex environments
  • Routine in leading design projects from research over prototyping to execution with a HCD approach while loving to work hands-on
  • Expert knowledge of leading tools such as Balsamiq, Axure, Adobe CS, … in order to create awesome and flawless responsive designs. Also, some knowledge in modern web technologies will be of help! HTML5, CSS3, PHP, …
  • Strong communicational skills and drive to express your creative, yet execution-oriented ideas and plans
  • Full proficiency in English. German language skills would be beneficial
