The ‘Corporate Development’ function is responsible for the development of the corporate strategy and the management of key business development projects at a corporate level. The purpose of the function is to support the CEO in strategic projects, communication, and decision-making. With his/her interdisciplinary know how, the Manager Corporate Development will drive the development and execution of the company strategy by steering and executing strategic business projects and initiatives that are designed to structure, strengthen or grow current/future sources of business. On top, he/she will support the CEO with analysis, reports and presentations where indicated. The Manager Corporate Development reports directly to the Head of Corporate Development and leads a small team of Consultants.

Main responsibilities

  • Driving the development of the Beiersdorf business strategy and transferring it into strategic corporate projects
  • Leading business development projects including new category entries and strategic partnerships
  • Preparation of strategy related CEO communication as well as Top Management conferences / workshops
  • Ad-hoc support of the CEO in all relevant topics, providing the CEO with high quality information, analysis and recommendations
  • Performing market and competition analysis where indicated Initiating and running selected business development projects
  • Close collaboration with the Top Management and the relevant organizational functions
  • Leadership and development of direct reports


  • Excellent university degree
  • Longterm years of work experience, ideally with focus on Marketing, Sales and/or Finance
  • Strategy consulting experience combined with entrepreneurial mindset
  • Very strong analytical thinker with proven track record in conceptual/strategic work
  • Passion and drive for our industry and our brands combined with a pragmatic approach of “getting things done” and clear business sense
  • An open and flexible personality with outstanding communication skills and an international mindset
  • Ideally, some start-up experience
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written), German a plus
