Market Manager, DACH (based in Berlin)

Start Date: ASAP

We’re looking for smart, dynamic people to help us build the next great online travel company. You'll be able to take chances, innovate on our product and be an integral part of building a world-class company. Our product is the world's first 100% mobile hotel booking app, and you'll be working with hotels within a particular region to make sure we are always bringing our users the best deals at the coolest hotels around.

  • Own the supply side for several cities/regions within the DACH region. This includes running our daily operations involving hotel partners, creating high quality long-term hotel relationships, and ensuring HotelTonight always has the best inventory
  • Identify out-of-the-box initiatives to engage hotel partners and acquire inventory that differentiates HotelTonight from other travel companies
  • Develop an intimate knowledge of each of your assigned markets with the goal of becoming the go-to source for all information relating to local trends and market dynamics (e.g. pricing, demand seasonality, compression patterns, etc.)
  • Sales! Develop new hotel business opportunities related to your HotelTonight markets, signing up the best hotels to show our users
  • Work with your Country Manager to execute strategies aimed at raising awareness and growing demand in your markets
  • Support the Marketing Manager in planning, rolling out, and monitoring localized marketing initiatives (mobile marketing, offline marketing, marketing partnerships)
  • Reports to the Country Manager

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from a top school (Business Administration preferred)
  • Native German speaker and great English skills (further languages are always a plus)
  • 1-3 years of professional experience
  • Internet/startup experience is highly desirable, management consulting experience is a plus
  • Must demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for this role and what we're building
  • Must be good at sales (and enjoy doing so!)
  • Must be confident interacting with senior-level hotel executives and building strong relationships within the industry
  • The ability to get things done with constantly changing priorities, projects and deadlines
  • Need to thrive in a collaborative environment, while also being able to manage projects with minimal oversight
  • The ability and willingness to learn quickly, and to do whatever it takes to get the job done

You must be an EU citizen or have documentation demonstrating your right to work in Germany

  • True startup experience — no bureaucracy and a ton of tough decisions that have a real impact on the business from day one
  • A chance to become an expert in mobile travel while it’s a nascent, growing industry
  • Camaraderie of an amazing team that is working tirelessly to build the world's favorite hotel app, supported by top-tier investors
  • Competitive monthly salary + stock options in one of Silicon Valley’s hottest startups
  • Great perks: Quarterly travel stipend, weekly catered lunches, unlimited coffee and snacks and a gong that you’ll get to bang when you do something amazing

Please include a cover letter that describes why you are a good fit for this position. Be succinct and to the point!
