Online Marketing Manager (m/f/d)

Milk the Sun operates the world’s largest international online marketplace for photovoltaic systems (PV systems) – and we have further ambitious plans to expand our contribution to the global energy transition. To realize our vision of making solar plant investments accessible to everyone, we are working on the next development stage of our photovoltaic platform. Our platform not only brings project developers and investors together, but also provides owners and operators with access to a variety of solutions for optimal operation throughout the whole life cycle of a PV system - and that's just the beginning. We are looking for you to wrap and spread this good news in the best possible way!

Your role

  • (Re-)Definition of our positioning and value proposition together with our executives as well as target setting for our marketing activities
  • Independent planning and executing of our marketing strategy: from conception over optimization to reporting
  • Definition of our branding as well as conception and distribution of target group-specific content (both independently and with the help of external service providers)
  • Planning and steering of our activities to attract new and activate existing users via appropriate online channels:
    • Current focus SEO (Website and Blog)
    • Expansion of our social media presence as well as Google Ads and Bing activities
  • Optimization of activation / reactivation measures to convert users to customers (current focus on newsletters and action-based mailings)
  • Establishment of a standard for evaluating existing channels as well as regular testing of new channels and incorporating necessary tracking measures
  • Constantly look over the edge of our daily tasks and ask: how we as a company can better convey our message to our users?

 What you bring with you

  • 2+ years of practical experience in online marketing, ideally in a startup environment or a proven affinity for digital business models
  • Deep understanding of the definition and positioning of a strong brand as well as practical implementation skills via various channels with a high degree of automation (esp. Mailings e.g. via Mandrill / Mailchimp)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions based on numbers and data – sound knowledge of Google Analytics is a must
  • Experienced user of third-party tools for keyword optimization and campaign monitoring (e.g. SEMRush or Sistrix)
  • High affinity for renewable energies and desire not only to drive a business model forward, but also to contribute to the energy transition
  • Can-do mentality: challenges do not scare you off, but are mastered with a solution-oriented approach and fun as a part of our company DNA
  • Communication expertise in German and English, both for placing our messages as well as for teamwork
