Changing the way language learning is done is a great challenge, so we are looking for a Project Manager for Spanish content production in our Didactics department. This is a temporary full-time parental leave replacement position from March 2017 through July 2018.

Responsibilities for the role

  • Plan & realize learning content projects for Spanish as a learning language
  • Build, coordinate and brief project teams of internal and freelance editors, authors, translators and voice-over artists
  • Produce, review and sign off learning content for Spanish as a learning language
  • Proofread & review texts in German as a display language
  • Recruit, train and assess freelancers (editors, authors, translators and voice-over artists) including project feedback
  • Calculate and document expected freelancer costs, sign off invoices


  • German is your mother tongue
  • Excellent Spanish skills
  • Good English skills
  • Other languages, also on beginner's level, are a plus
  • University degree in Spanish as a foreign language, Hispanic philology, Linguistics, Translations or a related field
  • Experience in teaching and/or production of teaching material
  • Experience with the digital self-study market and/or digital learning content development
  • Excellent Project Management skills (ideally in the publishing field)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
