Startup Bay is a recruiting agency with focus on the digital sector.
We are lookingfor aSenior Head of Design/CSS (m/f) for our client, a young startup from Berlin which messes up the global lifestyle-magazine industry. They offer the first magazine SaaS solution that implements brands to convert them into a beautifully layouted magazine which is seamlessly integrated into the e-commerce.

Senior Head of Design/CSS (m/f)

Your Challenge

  • Develop new communication concepts as well as innovative campaign ideas
  • Create marketing collateral for different markets
  • You are responsible for the entire visual performance of the company especially in the various channels
  • Another aspect of your challenge: Design development of the website as well as for the other channels, like CRM, Social Media and Corporate Publishing.
  • Bring in your own ideas and create, define and develop new design standards within the company

Your skills & profile

  • You worked already 4-5 years as an online graphic designer, ideally in an e-commerce environment.
  • You have a digital mindset and a deep understanding of how an online brand can grow in the digital world.
  • You have a solid portfolio that features different creative branding projects and you are experienced in conceptual work.
  • Reliable skills in in web/ mobile UX/ UI and Photoshop (ability to convert PSD composition into code)
  • Professional knowledge in all relevant graphic programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat etc.)
  • Very good understanding of advanced JavaScript (Backbone.js, CoffeeScript, Handlebars.js), CSS, HTML5, XHTML, CSS3
