You will be working with us in Zurich in close collaboration with teams of engineers, designers, investment analysts and many other experts in order to push our products forward.


Your role

  • Maintain and optimise all production systems for Numbrs
  • Develop and operate highly-efficient deployment processes
  • Implement initiatives to introduce technical standards, continuous integration and delivery
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the back-end architecture is consistent with the product vision
  • Work closely with front-end and mobile developers to create scalable applications
  • Support REST API deployments, databases and other back-end applications
  • Implement scalability and redundancy in all parts of the application
  • Deploy and support service infrastructure, database, logging, metrics and analytics to constantly improve performance and stability
  • Collaborate closely with Centralway’s cloud department
  • Remain up-to-date with the latest technologies, understand the benefits and limitations that they will provide your team with when furthering the development of your product
  • Work closely with our project, design and business teams to develop and ship new features
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks - and performance issues - based on analysis of system logs
  • Help maintain back-end architecture quality of service, organisation and automatisation
  • Interact with other teams, participate with positive and helpful reviews
  • Monitor and participate in workflow tracking (JIRA) and documentation (CONFLUENCE) so that these scalable industrialised processes facilitate business growth through management of distributed computing and database environments such as RIAK, Couchbase et al.


Our requirements

  • Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent work experience relevant to the role
  • Solid knowledge of system administration methodologies such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using applications such as Jenkins
  • Deep understanding of different deployment systems like Capistrano and building applications with OOP, SOLID, MVC and REST
  • Experience with Golang
  • Experience with system’administration tasks and deployment tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Ruby, Python, Perl or other)
  • Passionate about technology and willing to develop expertise in any emerging field
  • Experience with Git and continuous integration ‘ passion for benchmarking and optimisation
  • Experience of working in teams that are run with ‘agile’ processes
  • A good sense of humour, a love of collaboration, and the ability to take the rough with the smooth
  • Quick to learn and fast to adapt to changing environments
  • Versatile and eager to tackle new problems with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and organisational skills
  • Fluent in English, German language skills are a plus
