Managing Director (m/f)

We are an aspiring and innovative coworking space in the heart of Berlin Schöneberg. With 3’500 squaremetres we do have quite a large space to offer. We are home to startups from all sorts of backgrounds like FinTech, blockchain, mobility, education and arts. Besides renting out tables, offices and meeting rooms, Space Shack doubles as excellent event venue. Through our cooperation with a top tier Berlin based business school our space serves a unique platform for interdisciplinary work and fosters synergies and innovation.

To support our team we are seeking a suitable candidate for the position of a managing director with an immediate start but no later than June 2018.

Main responsibilities

  • Taking control of the operational business after a short introduction period

  • Supervising and supporting the team to improve operational structures and processes further

  • Contributing proactively to the existing coworking community and exploiting new sources for customer acquisition

  • Conducting financial controlling diligently to increase corporate efficiency

  • Drafting regular reports and presentations for the majority stakeholder

  • Developing and maintaining an analytical framework to track and analyse cash flows accurately

  • Appreciating an international and dynamic work environment

Skills and experience

  • Commercial training or university degree in business administration or similar with strong academic credentials

  • Proven track record in business development, consulting or a background in Berlin’s startup scene

  • Proficiency in using various software solutions (MS Office, DATEV or even coworking software like NEXUDUS) is desired

  • Fluency in English and German is required, further languages are considered a plus

  • Outstanding ability to communicate, delegate and interact with the team is crucial

  • Entrepreneurial attitude with an ability to deal with complex problems in a timely, orderly and insightful manner

  • Vibrant personality, a positive can-do attitude as well as a high level of self-motivation is key
