THE OPPORTUNITY

Joining Urbans Sports Clubs' fast growing Finance-Team as an Operations Controller (f/m/d) is an excellent opportunity to have a real impact on the company’s ongoing rapid growth across Europe. We’re looking for passionate people who have proven professional experience in the area of operational controlling with a high level of motivation to push forward significant improvements connected with a strong willingness to learn.


Your strong analytical and quantitative skills will aid our organization in efficiently steering the responsible group-wide reporting and forecasting process where different levels of stakeholders are involved (investors, HQ, subsidiaries across Europe). You work closely with a wide range of corporate functions and levels to develop efficiently strategic mid-term and long-term business plans. The role is based at our headquarters in Berlin.

HOW YOU APPLY YOUR SKILLS

  • You will maintain and develop our controlling systems and processes
  • You provide high-quality, timely and proactive result analysis to support decision forums
  • You are the contact person for various stakeholders within the company (e.g. management, controlling, further internal departments)
  • You provide and further develop cost management / expense control and performance methods and tools
  • You support the financial planning process including mid-year plan updates from operations perspective
  • You proactively identify potential for efficiency and transparency optimizations in terms of processes (locally and international)

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • University degree in business or economics, with a specialization in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or a related field
  • You have extensive relevant work experience
  • High affinity to numbers, very good understanding of contexts including preparation and pronounced analytical skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Good communication skills in German
  • Excellent communication skills in English for a range of audiences from Senior Managers to MDs and company co-founders. Knowledge of French and Spanish is a plus
